Wednesday, November 15, 2017 is our next guild meeting.
November is about Wicked Fantasy Flowers that look impressive but are easy to make for your cakes. Chrissie Boon has given us a tutorial for making them. And we also will be working on a great tutorial from Sherrie Louth. Easy Tree Bark for a cake. (We missed having a meeting in October so we need to catch up.) Tutorials will be emailed to those paid members that attend the meeting so you can finish up at home and have a handy reference for later.
We also have a couple of treats to give away to paid members only. Thanks to Chrissie and Sherrie for your generosity.
Please bring the following and have some fun:
Supplies for the flower:
- gum paste in green and a tiny bit of yellow or colours of your choice
- 26 g wire
- knife/cutting tool/cutting wheel
- bumpy foam
- Foam pad
- cel board
- leaf veiner
- star tool
- pointed tip tool/sugar shaper/cel stick/stiletto
- also your basic modelling tools such as glue etc and a box to take them home
Supplies for the tree bark:
- brown and white fondant
- dusting pouch
- X-acto knife
- modelling tool
- paint brush
- rolling pin
- ivory gel paste

Don’t forget that if you are missing a few items that we are always willing to share.
There are some new sugar paste recipes on the website under the Confectionery category and I will be adding more plus a post on how to use them all.
December’s meeting will be a get together. We usually go to a restaurant but are open to suggestions.
I’m available to help including the basics if that’s what you need. Please don’t skip the meeting because you think we know more than you do.
It’s how you learn and how we learn. And I know you have something to teach us!
Bring show and tell, questions, whatever you like.
Got something to demo? We love you. Go for it.
If you are not yet a member, you may attend for $5.00
*******Please email Lorrie to RSVP your attendance.*******
